Shon & Karissa Fleming

Shon Fleming, originally of Pittsburgh, has been a proud resident of St. Augustine for 17 years. He has a background in Engineering and Construction with an MBA. Shon currently manages a team of engineers in the field of utility construction. Karissa Fleming, born and raised in St. Augustine, spent 13 years as an Ocean Lifeguard for St. Johns County with an additional two as a professional EMT/ Firefighter. She holds a Bachelor’s of Business with an emphasis on Marketing, now specializing in HVAC/R products for contractors.

During the initial phases of the Covid-19 pandemic, time was spent working from home with more time to enjoy walking around their beautiful community. Shon & Karissa couldn’t help but notice how many vacant homes they came across. It was brought to their attention that one such “snowbird” neighbor later discovered that their hot water tank had leaked for 3 months, which unfortunately resulted in a house full of mold.

 Shon and Karissa, both with experience in building construction, saw an opportunity to prevent something like this from happening to other neighbors.This marked the birth of Hibiscus Home Management. Karissa, with a long history of focusing on accident prevention, quickly coined their slogan: “Trust us to keep watch”.

In their spare time, Shon enjoys playing pickleball and riding motorcycles. Karissa keeps busy in high intensity trainings and serves on the Executive Committee of the United States Lifesaving Association. They both enjoy taking adventures together & spending time with friends and family.
